Frank Saverino Sr. grew up in Chicago and has called Carol Stream home for decades. He began his career in the food service industry in 1964, and in June 1981 he opened Saverino & Associates, Inc. in a 10,000-square-foot building in the Village’s industrial district. Over forty years he grew it into one of the region’s most respected food brokerage firms, serving customers across a 23-state territory.
Frank’s public service started on the Village Board, where residents elected him at-large Trustee in 2001 and again in 2005. On May 14, 2007 he was sworn in as Carol Stream’s 11th Mayor, and voters have returned him to office ever since. Along the way he served six years as a Fire District commissioner and represents the Village on the DuPage Water Commission.
A father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Frank believes the job of a Mayor is simple: show up, listen, and treat every resident the same way you would treat family.
Frank has a long record of bridging differences — on the Village Board, in the business community, and between neighbors who don’t always agree. That is the leadership Carol Stream needs right now.

Frank built Saverino & Associates in Carol Stream’s industrial district in 1981. He knows what it takes to meet a payroll and keep a community thriving.
Named Mayor of the Year by the Illinois State Crime Commission in 2010, Frank funds his own campaign and has never asked residents for a dollar.
